Internship Program

BOURGET INTERNSHIPS = HANDS-ON OPERATIONAL

If you're looking for an internship with "real-world experience" you're in the right place! Our summer internship program was developed with the needs of the student in mind. We realize that a successful internship should provide a true learning experience where interns work as part of the Bourget team. This means our interns work on real projects, where they can apply classroom knowledge in a supportive, relaxed environment.

Bourget International Corporation, like no other leading boutique consulting firm, utilizes customized Internship Programs as a primary recruitment tool.

Managing Partner, Tom McSorley, has stated: "It's much more effective to make an offer to someone you've seen work for three months as opposed to a series of 30-minute interviews."

 INTERNSHIP HIGHLIGHTS

  • Challenging work experiences on significant projects;
  • Managers and coaches who are readily accessible to provide on-the-job training, answer questions, and provide constant feedback;
  • Goal-setting sessions that allow the interns to discuss projects in which they would like to be involved;
  • Work space that allows each intern to have his or her own computer;
  • "Info-shares" with business leaders, which give interns the opportunity to freely ask questions and learn about all aspects of Bourget's organization;
  • "Best Practice" time management training (Lombardi Model);
  • Competitive compensation;
  • Business casual attire.

 WHO SHOULD APPLY AND WHEN?

The Summer Program is traditionally targeted for college students who have completed their junior year and possess a grade point average of 3.0 or above (on a 4.0 scale). The ability to work well within a team, strong verbal and written communication skills, and detail orientation are all essential. The majority of our Summer Internship Program recruiting starts the February prior to the internship summer. If you are interested in pursuing an opportunity, you're welcome to submit your resume anytime during your junior year.

 WHAT ARE THE DATES OF THE INTERNSHIP?

The Summer Internship Program begins in May and continues through August. Because we realize that universities may have varying schedules, we are flexible with start and finish dates.

 ACADEMIC INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

The Academic Internship Program operates concurrently with the college or univeristy academic calendar: Fall Semester, Spring Semester, and Summer Programs. The following majors have traditionally been successful in our internship program: business administration, computer science, economics, finance, information systems/science, math, statistics, and related disciplines. If you are interested in an Academic Internship please contact responsible parties at your college or university.
