Consulting Roles

DISTINCTIVE IN THE WORK WE PERFORM
THE CLIENTS WE SERVE
THE PEOPLE WE ATTRACT

We are currently recruiting for new Business Development Associates.
A description of the position is provided at Current Opportunities. If you are interested in submitting a Curriculum Vitae, please E-mail the The Office of the Managing Partners.

As a unique specialty boutique business development outsourcing and support service organization, we work with some of the most fearsome market leaders in business today and, as a consequence, have very high standards for selection of associates and partners around the world. Our geographical concentration is on client target markets worldwide, under most circumstances, positions with the company are regionally distributed with the majority of our people tele-conferencing/video-conferencing on a daily basis.
If you're interested in working with Bourget, please familiarize yourself with the possibilities below. Position availability varies and, most often, we are at or near full staffing levels; however, we encourage all interested persons to submit their information to be considered for possible future openings.

There are (5) five different associate categories of client service at Bourget:

Office of the Managing Partners (OMP)

Currently Bourget's OMP is fully staffed. OMP positions are usually administrative and support roles for client services: Marketing Communications, Information Technology, Accounting and Finance. Bourget uses the Account-Client Model of opportunity development. Companies are accounts and Clients are people. This means that, a company to which we are currently providing services is defined as an account and we might work with, quite literally, a dozen clients inside that account.

Office of Education and Training (CPD)

Bourget's CPD delivers Continuing Professional Development and Executive Education tailored to the needs of client organizations. It also delivers a number of tailored English language for business programs to individuals on an open application basis. The Bourget International Group has a dedicated unit to help deliver professional, tailored and results-focused solutions - Short Focused Programs, Short Programs, Workshops, and Seminars; through to consultancy and long term collaborative research and development programs. The (CPD) Managing Partners are responsible for providing a professional and comprehensive administrative support service to the unit. The CPD Unit, with a team dedicated to teaching excellence, provides a range of opportunities, bringing together specialists in all fields of business to provide practical and accessible support, drawing on a combination of seasoned professionals and accomplished academics.

Project Leader - Client Service Liaison Service (PMO)

Client Services Liaison associates work directly with the clients we serve to respond to project initiatives, develop new client opportunities for the firm, suggest best-in-class solutions for worldwide business development and, finally and most important, to monitor and guide quality control and project management on all services provided to Bourget's clientèle, and ensure avoidance of conflicts-of-interest between and among the accounts (and clients) we work for. The job of the PMO is to be a single point of contact for all current and potential clients within a particular account, to seek out new areas of the accounts firm that could benefit from Bourget services and provide a single, consistent face of The Bourget International Group.

The PMO position is modeled after the traditional role of Senior Partner within a specialty consulting firm. However, because worldwide business development is unique from other forms of outsourcing and consulting -- in that, we must ensure all of our clientèle that there is absolutely no opportunity for conflict of interest because we serve a very broad range of accounts who may, in fact, compete with one another in certain markets -- consequentially, our liaison associates actually "compete" with one another with respect to which accounts they serve and how the resources of the firm are deployed for each client.

Each Project Leader is, therefore, free from the traditional constraints consultants face in deciding "which side they're on". For example (hypothetical), a liaison working with Microsoft would not be permitted to work with Oracle or Sun, and vice versa -- in fact, that liaison is expected to do everything possible to support their account and the clients within it in successfully transferring market share from those competitors to the customers they serve. The same is true of Bourget's Research Analysts assocaites.

This unique structure is unparalleled among business development firms around the world. It has been extremely successful in ensuring every client that we are doing everything possible to maximize their competitiveness in European and Middle Eastern markets.

If you would like to discuss the possibility of working with Bourget in this mission-critical role, then please E-mail the Senior Partner for a complete description of the opportunity, compensation programs, regional and market territories and to learn more about whether you have what it takes to lead Bourget account companies in how to win in global markets.
Research Analyst Service (RA)

Currently Bourget is fully staffed in our Research Analyst positions, however, we often work with specialized subcontractors with particularly technical or regional subject matter expertise. The primary responsibility of the RA associate is to gather intelligence for business in multiple European languages: market-level and client specific information. This includes secondary research (through online resources, periodicals, articles, publications and so on) as well as primary research through telephone interviewing to gain insight into the client's marketplace. A substantial portion of the RA's day involves phone interviewing. The nature of the interview varies according to the needs of the engagements, running the gamut from lengthy, open-ended qualitative interviews to short quantitative interviews with closed-ended questions. Key success factors for the RA include:

    * The ability to translate Competitive Intelligence and Customer Intelligence into Sales Intelligence
    * The ability to probe and understand any inconsistencies that arise during the interview both internally (that is, with information provided within the interview) and externally (that is, with information captured in other interviews)
    * The ability to not only work in a cooperative team environment but also on an independent basis with sometimes limited structure (self motivated/organized)
    * The ability to summarize, tabulate, and communicate research findings
    * Comfort with a client-driven, deadline-oriented service environment
    * The capability of an RA to go beyond data collection, compilation, and communication ("what I heard") to data analysis, interpretation, and implications ("what it means to the client situation") is highly valued but not a core requirement for the position.
    * Travel for the RA is minimal, averaging less than 14 days per year.

An undergraduate degree (BA/BS), preferably in marketing or business, is required, and candidates with stellar academics and extracurricular involvement are favored.

This is a great position for someone considering an MBA in the future, but who is looking for relevant, stimulating work experience before continuing on for an MBA.
Business Development Management Service (BDM)

We are currently recruiting for our Business Development Management Team. A description of the service is provided at Current Opportunities. If you are interested in submitting a Curriculum Vitae, please E-Mail the Senior Partner.

In addition, we work with many international partners around the world in countries where we are not directly present. If you're interested in becoming an international partner, please contact the Office of the Managing Partners.
